Tobidasa Night’s. At Mie-Ken

So, last satuday I decided to joint a car meeting with my friend Shota from Nara street team. I had the pleasure to be part of that team. We are based in Kansai area, specially in Nara so I am probably the only one living in Kyoto and being part of a Nara team by the way. I left Kyoto around 7.30pm and I took the shortest way to the reach the place where I meet Shota and I friend who drive a Infinite G37, then we moved to the car meeting spot located somewhere in a highway in Mie-ken prefecture. As usual there were a bunch of car fanatics and as you may well know, Kansai area is about stance, USDM and Hellaflush. I took pictures of many car that were at the events, but I specially focus on those cars I like it.

This one was one of the most admired cars in the meeting, a USDM Infinity G37. Left hand drive car driving on Work Wheels. Is not usual to spot USDM car in Japan if they are not Hot Rod’s or Muscle Cars.

Roadster are still alive in the country in case you don’t know, they maybe not the most popular car over here but many people love them and I have to say I like them a lot and they are so fast and also fun to drive.

Another surprise to me was to find that Mini Cooper S GP Works rocking BBS. The yellow headlight just make the car look superb.

You maybe not used to spot the Toyota Vitz sedan in car meeting’s. But the Vitz’s/Yaris is the sedan version of the Toyota daily city car and here there is one on a superb stance. I
This particular car is becoming very popular in the region and telling you the truth I like so much when people choose rare cars as a project cars.

Such an spot. A Top Secret body-kit in that awesome Toyota Supra. Was very annoying to see how people didn’t even care much about standing in front of a Top Secret Supra, but you then say to yourself; well this may happened because this is Japan and nothing is special enough.

Here are a couple of examples about the Honda culture. And those are different cars.

About the the Honda culture… what to say. No, definitely. Is not everything about Kanjo Race Car’s. In fact many Civic’s are built under the stance culture and many of them are EK9. This one above had detached spoiler, rear lip and fitted with a B20, and yes the VIN was a real EK9.

No more to say every time I go to a japanese car meeting a have a surprise. Maybe because the people I met, maybe because the cars I found, sometimes only because the experiences I have driving the japanese roads. See you in the next meeting.

Select ‘N Low Meeting ~ 23 March

Hey guys

My friend Hector and I went to the Bonaire Mall in Aldaia, to assist the SelectN Low meeting.

It was Sunday and the day was very good, sunny and good weather, so after washing the little Honda, we went to the meeting.

When we arrived there was a lot of people already and the cars meant the day was promising, so I took the camera and started taking pictures of the cars we had.

Just Another Drift Night

DSC_0120

It was another chilly January night in Tokyo, but that doesn’t stop these guys from going out and shredding some tires. After a full day of sports, no rest, and a half hour nap, at midnight, I met up with my friend whose Cresta you should all know very well by now.

DSC_0065

The trip took us from where we live in downtown Tokyo, to Shinagawa, to meet up with some other people. DSC_0068

The owner of this S15 is the same person whose dark green Chaser I shot back in the summer at the JZX meet in Daikoku-futo. DSC_0073

The Silvia is one of the cleanest S15’s I have seen, and the sound it made was incredible.DSC_0076

The little gas station provided quite a nice place for a mini photoshoot.DSC_0079

This is probably my favorite angle of the car.DSC_0081

The Cresta looks very mean from the back as well.DSC_0082  DSC_0091

Eventually, we made it to a Family Mart on Ougi-shima. Lots of photos circulate the internet today with street drifting through the narrow trucking streets. DSC_0092

However, the area was being patrolled by the port security, and we decided it would be better to leave, right after doing a few slides, so the trip wasn’t an absolute waste.DSC_0105

Another one of our friends showed up in this GP Sports kitted S15.DSC_0125

We made our way to Daikoku, however due to a huge crowd and some police action, taking photos was quite impossible on the night, so after the police drove us out, we all took refuge in front of another convenience store, to warm up our freezing hands with some warm beverages. DSC_0127 DSC_0128 DSC_0129 DSC_0135

This man was shredding it up like mad at Daikoku, putting in very impressive runs.DSC_0140 DSC_0143 DSC_0147Drifting is all about fun (unlike some movies tend to show), and in the end, having photos like this one to prove it makes me very happy.

See you in the next post!

Cleanest Toyota Chaser JZX100

This amazing car belongs to a Canadian guy called Adam, who is from Edmonton. He currently resides in Yokohama and loves to go to Daikoku Futo to check out other people’s cars, but I’m sure also to show off his own! From the moment he made his way down the famous highway that encircles the parking lot, I knew this was going to be a car I would have fun shooting.
