Inside High Bridge First

High Bridge First is a Jimmny specialist located in Uji-shi. I had the opportunity last week to spend sometime with them. As always japanese people is so kind and they always want to show you everything about their workshops.

As an Jimny specialist the workshop is fully invaded for that small all terrain car. The is a particularity about Jimny’s in Japan as they are built as a kei car which is 660cc and as Suzuki sold them in Europe 1.300cc. Easy to difference them as kei cars has yellow plates.

Kei Car Jimny’s have 660cc Turbo K6A-engined pushing 63ps from factory. The larger 1.3-litre Jimny was originally equipped with the G13BB engine pushing 80ps.

Basically High Bridge First is a performance garage for upgrading your Jimny into an off road monster. They got everything you need, suspension, exhaust, roll cages and ECU reprogramming as well as all kind of accessories for inside and outside.

This red Suzuki is a mini van named Suzuki EVERY. Like for everyday usage. Equipped with bags the guys of High Brige First made a small show with the car lifting in it which in fact was very funny to watch.

BMW’s are highly popular in Japan, as well as Mercedes Benz. But BMW has this sporty feeling that has become BMW so popular in Europe. Here is almost the same. It is very easy find high range BMW’s, there are many M3 and M5 but also there many high models like 335i or 330i.

Assist Car Care is an small garage located in Kyoto specialized in BMW’s. Here the mix between german parts and JDM parts reach its maximum expression, Volk’s all around. Big Endless brakes and high rear wings just with the porpoise of racing.

This is a collection of photos I took yesterday while walking around my area. Kansai is a very interesting region talking about cars and also talking about Japanese history. I have visited some garages around as Navic or Car Care Assist which will be the next post.

Is very common to find lightly tuned cars, I think almos 20% of cars equip exhaust and coilovers and that means that you never can stop watching around for new spots. Nights are very interesting and I cannot wait until next friday to get to entrance of the Meishin Express. I expect some cars going to Osaka to have fun.

What a nice surprise today. Walking you discover many things… I spotted this shop, is Suzuki Dealer but is like a specialist for kei cars.

There were many Cappuccinos, some AZ’s and some normal cars. But despite this, they had like four or five cars just for racing also for sale. The Daihatsu ESSA was even tuned.

I’ve been searching for some cool stuff, but this time is not an stock car. From Fukui comes Ibaragi-San and his awesome Skyline GT-R (R33) which I would say is my favourite R33 after the 400R.
