Recently, I attended an event organized and sponsored by Monster Energy in Odaiba, where Ken Block and selected drivers from D1SL were going to put on a show.
Here is my final post from the 2013 Mooneyes Street Car National show! I hope you enjoyed the coverage. I’ll be back very soon with an interesting Monster Energy event featuring Ken Block!
Here is the second last part form the Mooneyes event, which includes trucks, SUVs, and other crazy things that don’t fit into the other categories.
I’ll try to keep it to less writing and more photos from now. Here’s all the USDM stuff from Mooneyes excluding hot rods and sleds.
Lately I don’t have motivation to write original posts, personal reasons and other stuff.
So I wanted to go to the past.
In the automotive industry, the manufacturers have been bringing new models, with new designs, new lines and engines, like every other industries.
Nowadays everything new is made to be broken, or in a few years or in the same season, but why does it happen? Why these cars aren’t what their big brothers used to be? Why reviving the legendary models in a dumbest way? I don’t understand.
This post is about european cars, but not the current ones. I declare myself against new euro cars, I don’t like them, main reason is because electronics, they kill a car. I know is needed but always in a good measure.
So … We know quite well the old school of the U.S., with its monstrous Hemis, Stangs and Yenkos, or Japan, with its GT-R, Supras and such, but what about Europe?
Well, the Spanish people who is reading this, will know what I’m talking about, and they know that these cars are able to make you sweat, a lot of power and simple mechanically talking. In my opinion, these cars are a lot better than actual ones.
We will make a return to the past, we will remember the glories of European motorsport, everything, the golden age, rallying, resistance races… But, I’m gonna reduce that to a determinated period. I choose the cars we used to have here in this mediterranean country, Spain.
I always like to talk to an adult about these old school cars, when I name one, they always have positive adjecives to describe them. Do you know everything was better in the past.
So sit down and enjoy.
This one is a personal favourite
This one is angry, isnt it?
Sapphire Cosworth… I want one so bad
From Mercedes Benz; Theyre mostly W124, but damn, W124 are the bests Benzos ever!
From Peugeot and Citroen, some of my favourites, to be honest (im a PSA bitch lol)
And… I’m gonna end with Volkswagen
They are small, old, square, ugly, fat… But I’m sure that they got more balls than more of the brand new cars in your local dealer. I said.
It’s enough… I wanted to show some videos too, so here we have two that I the recent found, so enjoy them!\
Any other car you think must or deserve to be in this post?
