The Rocket Bunny E36

This is just the last creation of Miura San aka Rocket Bunny. The E36 is great bet for Miura San. You know that even E36 being popular, here in Japan is not the most popular car you can find for racing and even less for drifting.

I remember when I went for first time to Autoland and Miura San show me the renderings of the proyect. He worked so quick to make it real and here is the result.

I like a lot to visit Miura San and talk to him. He is very pleasant and very kind person. Spending time with him talking about 15 years ago of Kanjo’s and street drifting is such a great experience for a car guy like me.

Japanese food is just delicious

Food, the other side of Japan. Normally here the food is just an excellent desire. Everything and everywhere is normally so delicious. There is no big difference if you pay a lot or you to a cheap place.

During the last months I am also using this blog not only to show cars, also cities are very cool and they have that kind of special feeling that makes you take photos of every corner, like if for a moment everything need to be frozen in capture.

Probably that is the main reason that now forces me to also post food. Maybe as an extra, maybe I will post more food some other day.

My place

I don’t know when I became addict to photography. In fact sometimes I don’t know we I do some things, but being here in Japan I have the feeling of taken images of everything, like capturing every moment will be like never forget about what I’m doing, or maybe one day showing this pictures to my son will make me remember who I was once upon a time.

Here is an small collection of photographies around Fushimi-ku area. The place where I live, at least for this time of my life.

Inside T.R.A Kyoto aka Rocket Bunny

When for first time I found myself looking for TRA Kyoto I was already excited. Just the pleasure of finding the workshop in the streets of UJI was amazing. TRA Kyoto is that kind of place you think that don’t really exist. Is just on the internet and is not the real life.

After searching internet at yahoo and some other japanese place I did get the address, then was just google how to go.

I know that this is not the kind of post you expect about TRA Kyoto. You expected rocket bunnies all around, but this post is something more spiritual. Here in rthirtytwotaka we love the classic images and classic stickers and signs, so I decided that the first post will be about showing something more about TRA Kyoto.

Like almost half of Japan, the mess is like the rule number one. Here we have an scale model of the most recent Miura-san Scion FRS. Yes Scion, as the car was imported from the US, more specifically straight from Santa Monica.

The well known Rocket Bunny PS13 also in scale model version.

As I am spanish born, this really surprised me. Old school Rallies from Mexico all them wrote in Spanish. Really amazing stuff inside the office.

Do you have a letter to Miura San? Post box can’t confused you, If you find this, you are already visiting TRA Kyoto, and if you are here you are really excited.

More classic images and signs, Miura San has a great taste and he is a great american culture lover as we can see.

Here as a result of many many bumper cuts everything is plenty of white dust. But for I don’t now the reason is like the only way it can be. If weren’t like that then this would be another shop but not TRA Kyoto.

The collection of T-shirt and Jackets is awesome, some were never used yet, maybe waiting the next Kanjo Battle in Osaka. The skate was just as cool as the rest of the stuff inside the office. There is an strange feeling when you sit down together to Miura San. Like you and the Master teaching you and showing you all the stuff around. Such a great feeling.

I promise you next post will have many Rocket Bunny cars and some other cool things that Miura San showed to rthirtytwotaka. Now I just wait to find one of our sticker in the next project, which of course I have seen but is really confidential. See you soon.

Walking around Yamashina

This is a collection of photos I took yesterday while walking around my area. Kansai is a very interesting region talking about cars and also talking about Japanese history. I have visited some garages around as Navic or Car Care Assist which will be the next post.

Is very common to find lightly tuned cars, I think almos 20% of cars equip exhaust and coilovers and that means that you never can stop watching around for new spots. Nights are very interesting and I cannot wait until next friday to get to entrance of the Meishin Express. I expect some cars going to Osaka to have fun.

Garages and advertising logos across Japan

We are all used to seeing the most elite Garages regarding vehicles modifications, I’m talking about the hundreds of times we have seen Spoon Sports, Tra Kyoto, Signal Auto or many others well known Garages. Today is not time for that.

Today I wanted to compile a series of photos with another feeling, a little different and classic feeling but related workshops and some other stuff with this vintage and old flavour. Like old jewellery, and old poster or sign.

This collection is based on a few locations across Japan, being main locations Tokyo and Kyoto. Also some are took in Nara and Hama-Kanaya. It’s a quite nostalgic feeling when walking through these narrow streets and find these old Garages. Many of them are no longer distributing the brands advertised on their signs, others are selling bicycles now, some aren’t open, not anymore.

But there are still many signs and ads there, old ones, leaving that classic image to every brand. Today those ads look very cool to me and that is the main reason to share this post.
