The CC8S was the first production car ever made by Koenigsegg. Its minimalistic, clean, efficient and elegant styling set it apart from the peers of the time.
The CC8S pioneered the detachable, stowable carbon roof and the dihedral actuation doors that Koenigsegg has become famous for. The car won several awards, including the Guinness World Record for the Most Powerful Production Engine and awards for excellent design from both Red Dot in Germany and Utmärkt Svensk Form in Sweden.
Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson named the CC8S his favorite supercar of 2004, despite fierce competition from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Pagani. Six editions of the car were produced between 2002 and 2004, making it one of the rarest Koenigsegg models around.
